Hey ! I’m Marie, a French girl living in the Netherlands since 2018.
My sustainable journey started slowly in 2019. I was looking at all the plastic bottles of products in the bathroom and thought “why so much plastic” There are dry soap and shampoo”. Going through a more sustainable life is a long process. We are not use to live differently and have to slowly change our habits. I started with beauty and menstrual products. When my partner and I bought our house in 2021, I learned how to make my own cleaning products. And slowly change our food routine to go to farms and local producers.
It has been the same for clothes. I see so much fabrics and clothes in second end shops I thought “Why should I buy new and expensive fabric? There are many projects waiting for me here”. I first sawed for myself. Reusable mesh bags, face mask…
In 2024 I needed to find a new balance in my life. Find a job fitting to my valour’s and my new way of living. This is why I decided to create MB-Upcycle ! I want to share my sustainable passion with others. Share the work of an artisan and an ethical local entrepreneur !
